Bing-Huei Chen, male, food scientist, received his Ph.D. degree in Food Science & Technology, Texas A & M University, USA in 1988. His postgraduate career includes working at Fu Jen University, Taipei, Taiwan as Associate Professor from 1988–1994, Professor from 1994–2004, Distinguished Chair Professor from 2003–present, Chair of Department of Nutrition and Food Science from 1994-2000, Director of Graduate Institute of Medicine from 2006–2009, and Dean of College of Human Ecology from 2012–2015. He specializes in Lipid Chemistry, Pigment Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, Food Toxicology, Functional Food and Botanical Drug Development and Biological Activity Determination as well as Nanotechnology. Until now he has published 199 research articles in internationally renowned journals and authored 11 book chapters in edited books published by International Publishers. He has received numerous awards including the prestigious National Invention Gold Medal Award by Ministry of Economics, Taiwan in 2018 and was honored with Outstanding Research Scientist by Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan. He was also honored with International Outstanding Inventor of Biotechnology by Taiwan Inventor Association/International Innovation and Invention Alliance Association in 2019 and Distinguished Professor by Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China in 2015. Most importantly, Prof. Chen has developed a nano-product “Lycopene Chylomicron”, which has completed a phase III clinical trial in both Taiwan and USA in 2017 and demonstrated to be effective in the treatment of patients with prostatauxe syndrome. Expectedly, this product will become the first botanic drug in the world for treatment of patients with prostatauxe syndrome without side effect. More recently, the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM), a European organization has honored him with IAAM Scientist Award 2020 for his contribution to the advancement of science and technology. At the same year he was also honored with Vebleo Fellow. He also serves as Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Recent Patents on Food, Nutrition and Agriculture” and Associate Editor of 2 journals “Journal of Food & Drug Analysis” and “Asian Science Bulletin”. In addition, he serves on the editorial board of 135 journals. Currently he is the President of Professors Association, Taiwan and was the Past President of AOAC Taiwan section from 2016-2018.

Nour Eldaim Elnoman Elbadawi is associate Professor of Medical Biochemistry. He has got his Ph.D. from University of Gezira, college of medicine , Sudan, at 42 years. He has published about 20 papers in reputed journals. He has many scientific papers to be published. He has considerable contributions at the level of his institution and community. Now, he is a research team leader at college of medicine ,Shaqra University. His research area of interest is the biochemical aspect of malaria in pregnancy in particular and in infectious diseases in general.

Francisco Torrens is lecturer in physical chemistry at the Universitat de València. After obtaining a PhD in molecular associations in azines and macrocycles from the Universitat de València, Dr. Torrens undertook postdoctoral research with Professor Rivail at the Université de Nancy I. More recently, Dr. Torrens has collaborated on projects with Professors Tomás-Vert, Salgado and Castellano. Vibhuti Agrahari, Ph.D., M. Pharm. is an assistant professor of biopharmaceutical sciences at Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy, Shenandoah University, VA, USA. Dr. Agrahari earned master’s degree in medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry from Shri G.S. Institute of Technology and Sciences, India and a Ph.D. in pharmaceutics and drug design from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), USA. She worked on NIH and industries funded projects and her research work is recognized with several research awards in the national and international meetings such as ocular drug delivery and disposition focus group, biotechnology research award and quality by design & product performance research award by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), Tony B. academic award by Society for Laboratory Automation Science (SLAS) and Simon Wolff charitable foundation, UK. Dr. Agrahari received several fellowships and grants such as Bernard J. Dunn, Jr. Faculty Research Award and faculty development grant at Shenandoah University, Ronald MacQuarrie fellowship and Judith Hemberger graduate scholarship at UMKC and research fellowship awarded by the ministry of human resource development, Government of India. She has one US patent, co-authored several peer-reviewed articles and appointed as special theme issue editor for various scientific journals. Her research agenda focuses on the nanotechnology, biomaterials and biologics for controlled drug delivery. Dr. Agrahari’s professional and community engagement work includes serving as, President (2015-2016) Graduate Student Council, Chair (2016) Community of Scholars Symposium, and Scientific Committee Chair and Co-Chair of the Pharmaceutics Graduate Student Research Meeting 2016 at UMKC. Prof.Ozcan graduated with honors in 1993 from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine as a medical doctor and started to Cukurova University Facuty of Medicine, Ophthalmology department for his specialization training. In 1999 he completed his specialization and became a specialist in ophthalmology. After his specialization, he made researches in Giessen University Eye Clinic, Germany in 2000. He returned to Cukurova University Medical Faculty in 2001 after his ongoing working, he became Associate Professor in 2005 and Professor in 2011. He is a member of International AAO, ASCRS, ESCRS, EGS and also active member of the Executive Board of the Turkish Ophthalmology Society of Cataract and Refractive Unit, and Glaucoma Unit. He has been selected as an Editorial Board member of International Journal of Ophthalmology & Eye Science (IJOES), Ophthalmology and Vision Science Journal, and EC Ophthalmology Journal. He received International Educational Award by American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2014. His main interests include cataract–refractive surgery and glaucoma with comprehensive experience in the anterior segment & ocular surface diseases, surgeries and ocular adnexa of the eye. Dr Ozcan continues to conduct clinical research and particularly enjoys being involved in teaching. He has published many peer-reviewed articles and text book chapters. Reviewer for national and international journals in the field of ophthalmology. Prof. Ozcan made many presentations at national and international conferences, scientific sessions.

I have received my medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. I am a research associate in Farabi Eye Hospital affiliated with Tehran University of Medical Sciences. My main research interest is anterior segment and corneal eye diseases especially keratoconus which I am currently focusing on studying different aspects of keratoconus disorder.

Dr. Italo Giuffre' is Consultant at the Department of Ophthalmology (Head: Prof. A. Caporossi) - Catholic University of Rome (Italy) since 2009 and Lecturer at the Orthoptics School in Bozen (Italy). He graduated as Medical Doctor cum laude at Tor Vergata University in 1988. He discussed a thesis about the biological and pharmacological aspects of neuroblastoma and retinoblastoma. In 1992 he postgraduated cum laude in Ophthalmology at Sapienza University (Head: Prof. M. R. Pannarale). He discussed a thesis about the ibopamine test after administration of corticoids in patients affected by allergic conjunctivitis. He completed a Vitreo-retinal Fellowship at Antwerpen Ophthalmology Department (Head: Prof. R. Zivoynovic). In 1995-1996 he was Lecturer of Genetic of eye diseases at the Postgraduate Course of Ophthalmology at Tor Vergata University of Roma (Head: Prof. M.G. Bucci). In 2001 he became PhD in Neuropaediatrics and malformative diseases at Sapienza University (Head: Prof. G.P. Cantore). He discussed a thesis about genetics of Apert and Crouzon syndromes. His publications include one book about Genetics of Eye diseases, INC Editor 2000, 5 chapters in international books about ibopamine, apoptosis and tumorigenesis and genetics of glaucoma and over 90 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He served as Medical Officer in the Italian Army in 1990-1991 and he is Captain since 2000. He worked at the Ophthalmological Department (Head: Prof. E. Balestrazzi) at L’Aquila University since 1992 up to 2009. Since then he served as Consultant at the Glaucoma Service and Hereditary eye diseases Service (Head: Prof. B. Falsini) at the Catholic University of Rome (Italy). He is member of ARVO, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Italian Society of Ophthalmology (SOI), AIMO, AISG, SiGLA, SIOP, GIVRE. He received the SOI Best Paper Award in 2013.
